Bryon Mayhall’s philosophy is “If you don’t have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it again?”
From his many years at Sam’s Club as a Regional Buyer, Category Buyer and more, to his four years as a Confection Category Manager – Club Level at Hershey, Bryon prides himself on doing it right the first time. That dedication led Bryon to join CMS in 2004.
Bryon’s personal hero is Sam Walton and says, “I have always admired his unique vision of business, customer service, work ethic, tenacity, will to win, and compassion/understanding of people and how that is the true difference in success or failure…at anything. He is what inspired me to get into retail 29 years ago. He made me believe in what “could be” and I’ve witnessed it, before and after his passing, at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club my entire career.”
In the past, when he wasn’t at the office leading the CMS field team to success, Bryon coached youth baseball. For 15 years he passed his dedication and knowledge on to baseball players of all ages and competitive levels. Baseball was his first love from the time he was a little boy playing till he got into coaching later in life, but he’s been in self-proclaimed retirement for a while. “I’m passing the torch to my boys and they can coach my grandkids. I will take it all in from a lawn chair outside the fence. I look forward to that.”
